Benito Jacovitti

Benito Jacovitti (March 19, 1923 - December 3, 1997) was born in Termoli, Italy. In 1956 he began working for the newspaper Il Giormo, where Cocco Bill was born. Ten years later he join Il Corriere dei Piccoli.

Each page has been drawn as half of page (two strips) and each half page has own page numbering (i.e. each page has page number, like "1-A" and "1-B"); each new chapter goes on with the numbering from prev. chapter. 6+6+6+6+6+6+6+6 pgs.

HUN: There is no proof if this story was ever really printed anyhow. Page numer on every half page, part A and part B, pointing on the way how Jacovitti draws this story. Appeared in Internet [HUN]. Half page strips. Strip numbering, [JAC 78] logos and chapter titles emptied. Last frame on pg 36 (i.e. strip numbered as "18-B") emptied. Parts 3–7 do not exist!


36) Bank is robbed. Cocco Bill brings back potatoes.
37) Cocco Bill captures robbering gang and brings back potatoes.
38) Gang escapes from jail. Cocco Bill finds mere potatoes.
39) Cocco Bill fights with Siouxes. Mashed potatoes joke in the end.
40) Cocco Bill gets almost lynched, finds mask and box full of potatoes.
41) Cocco Bill fights with Siouxes and banker but gets only a chest full of potatoes.
42) Fight with cougars and gun fight with robbers, but potatoes do not make laught anymore.
43) Cocco Bill gets eaten by a big fish, but catches the robbers in the end. After that to the new adventures and the new potatoes.
